Dragi Spasovski CD Release Party
Café Paloma, 8 and 9 December 2007
Adrijana belts it out
Adrijana Alachka sings out at Café Paloma.
Adrijana out on the floor
Several times during the two shows, Adrijana went out into the audience and sang close-up to the diners.
Adirjana with one of her fans
Adriijana is a professional show person, and she roused the diners out of their seats into impromptu dances.
Adrijana and Dragi harmonize
One of the many highlights of the two Paloma shows was the singing of Dragi and Adrijana together on some of
their favorite songs.
Dragi dances as well as sings
Dragi would often spontaneously break into dance during Goran's interludes to his songs.
Dragi honors the Alachkis
Dragi was very enthusiastic about the Alachkis' visit, and he made sure the audience knew how special the evening
was for him and all who attended.
Dragi and Goran
Backed by Goran's expert playing, Dragi could let himself go in the slower numbers.
Dragi in full form
Dragi loves singing, and this was his night, with three new CDs and old friends accompanying him and in the
audience.
Dragi sings from
the heart
Dragi was very moved throughout the evening, even unable to complete some lyrics that struck a personal
chord.
Goran on another plane
Goran was always right there when accompanying, but when he struck out on his own during solos, he was
otherworldly.
Goran and David
It was an honor for me to play with such fine musicians, let alone be given a chance to solo. The
concentration required paid off in tight ensemble playing.
Goran Alachki
Goran treated the audience to a few solo pieces of his own composition, demonstrating his mastery of the
accordion and his senstive musicianship.
The last song of the weekend
By the time we finished, the audience and performers were singing together, enjoying the final moments
of a splendid evening.
Paloma Quartet
We talked about finding a way to play together again, either on the Alachki's next visit to the U.S., or
even in Macedonia.
