Macedonian and Balkan Folk Music

Izvor Music CDs

Bajsa Arifovska CD Izvor Music is delighted to offer an album of instrumental čalgija music by Bajsa Arifovska, talented multi-instrumentalist from Skopje.

Dragi Spasovski CDs Izvor Music continues to offer three exquisite CDs of Macedonian folk songs by Dragi Spasovski. Each CD is filled with 70 minutes of songs from Dragi's repertoire. Many of these songs he learned from his mother, to whom this CD project is dedicated. Each CD is beautifully designed and packaged, with information about the project and specific playlist.

Our 163-page book, Macedonian Folk Songs from the Repertoire of Dragi Spasovski Volume 1, is a beautiful and useful complement to the three-CD collection. It contains lyrics to all the songs on all three CD's as well as musical transcriptions. The book can be ordered on its own or as part of a discounted 3-CD package. The links below will take you to more detailed information about each CD.

You can also listen to episodes from our Macedonian Postcards podcasts, which feature lively interviews with Dragi Spasovski as he provides us with additional background, discussion and anecdotes about the CD and book project and its songs.

This project has received many glowing comments from listeners and readers. Enjoy exploring what the project has to offer!
